What we process, what we keep local, and what we avoid storing on the server

1. Information We Process
MedixShield may process the following information to provide workflow tools for foreign-patient care and patient-facing self-service tools.
A. Medical and Health Information Handled During Feature Use
- Prescription, medical document, receipt, and diagnosis-related images
- Text inputs such as symptoms, medications, allergies, and visit purpose
- Microphone audio when using the consultation interpreter
- Health details entered into the emergency card, intake summary, or visit summary
This information is processed only when a user actively runs those features. MedixShield is designed not to keep this medical information as long-term records in its own application database.
B. Account, Payment, and Support Information
- Email address and display name used for sign-in
- Pass and feature purchase records such as plan, purchase date, and expiry
- Support inquiry records such as category, email, message, and status
2. Temporary On-Device Storage
Intake Summary and Visit Summary stay only in the current tab by default. They remain on the device for up to 24 hours only when the user explicitly chooses to save them, and those drafts are not synced to our server or to another device.
3. Third-Party Processors
The following third-party services may be used to provide features.
Anthropic — translation, summarization, and sentence organization
Used for text and image translation, intake summaries, visit summaries, and important sentence organization.
Deepgram — live consultation speech-to-text
When the consultation interpreter is used, microphone audio may be sent to Deepgram for live transcription.
Supabase — authentication, account records, purchases, and support inquiries
Used for sign-in, account records, pass records, and support inquiries. If a user types medical details into the support form, that content may remain in support records.
Google Maps Platform — hospital search and maps
Location coordinates and search filters may be sent to Google when hospital search features are used.
Lemon Squeezy — payments, billing, and tax handling
Used for pass purchases, paid feature billing, and payment transaction records.
Telegram — operational alerts
Used only for internal alerts that a support inquiry was received. Inquiry content and contact details are not sent to Telegram.
4. Retention
Medical information
Medical text, images, and audio used for feature processing are handled temporarily for the requested task, and we operate the app so that they are not intentionally kept as long-term records in the app database.
Account, payment, and support information
Account information may remain while the account is active. Payment and transaction records may be retained as needed for tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Support inquiries may be retained until they are no longer needed for support or operational review.
Deleting an app account does not automatically remove legally required transaction records or previously submitted support inquiries.
